yes - appreciation would mean the same number of earned yuan will show
higher earnings in US dollars - which the ADRs reported in. It is hard
to guess when the share price will start to relfect reality.it will
catch up with reality. it is absurdly low now. But momentum seems to

haven't heard from you lately - are you still in fuqi?
It has been a nice ride from 30 to 20, but I am still not covering my
short.
I'll cover near $15. And I won't be buying it after that - just too
many
accounting red flags. It may well go down below $10 again, but hey, I
am not greedy.

They would not even know how to mislead or overstate their growth even
if they wanted to. I take major comfort in knowing that, because of
their lack of communication skills, that the CEO took about a 60
million dollar swing in his net worth from peak to trough on earnings
day. He is not selling, so neither am I. They are going to destroy

Agreed on all accounts Craig. And don't you think, in a way, FUQI's
lack of 'Street' sophistication on the call - and their actual
diminsihing their own story by making the ODM sound like a one-off [it
isn't] - makes me trust the earnings reality even more. Naive but
honest. So, check this earnings perspective out.

I am long at $24.50 and I was going to put in a sell limit order of
$25 over the weekend but I forgot. That would have executed today,
drats! Very unpredictable behavior right now considering the DOW is

The question now is will it hold the support near $20, or will it
break lower? If it does break down 15.75 is the next support level

I bout 450 in the morning and sold 300 for profit and let the other
150 ride. I couldn't sell these otherwise id be a "pattern day

Almost 7M shares traded. Total float is 27M shares, of which close to
80% is held by owners and long term institutional investors. This can
tell you the level of manipulation through short selling.

Herein lies the problem with conservative estimates. 4th quarter
guidance disappoints and triggers a massive reversal. Guranteed,
they will crush the .50-.55 number in Q4, but we are going to have to
wait for that it seems. I am adding to my position today.

Float is thin. Anyone with $20M in their pocket (there are many) can
move this stock wherever they want. Some want FUQI to stay down while

stock is up only 1.3% when they beat the estimate by 29 cents?

I understand the revenue is slightly lower than expected, but still,

THEY CRUSHED IT BY .29 CENTS. What bothers me is the conservative
estimates for fourth quarter. They did .73 per share in quarter
three with no big holidays, but are only going to .55 in q4?? That
is crap, I wish they were not so conservative, but I can think of
other strong growth companies that do the same sandbagging thing...

Earnings release date has not been announced yet. It usually is in the
second month following the Q-end (i.e. early November).

I couldn't find a news linked to the drop today. Without any news, I
