LOS GATOS, Calif., July 16, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Akeena

Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq:AKNS), a leading designer and installer of solar

power systems, will announce its second quarter 2008 financial results

on Wednesday, August 6, 2008. The company will host a conference call

on the same day at 11:00 A.M. Pacific (2:00 P.M. Eastern).

To access the call in the U.S., please dial 877-225-1676 and

for international callers dial 706-643-9669 approximately 10 minutes

prior to the start of the conference call. The conference call will

also be broadcast live over the Internet and available for replay for

90 days at www.akeena.com. In addition, a replay of the call will be

available via telephone for one week, beginning two hours after the

irrespective of the results, i think this stock is much better than
finacial stocks.I hope it reaches 8 in couple of months.

True.. Earnings shouldn't be worse than previous quarter.. avg analyst
estimate is -16 cents... prev quarter was -16 cents.. I would hope
they beat...

Me too.I checked in many analyst ratings on this stock.No one advised
to sell it.There are strong buys.It was a strong buy $12 as the target
couple of months ago.I hope it gets better.

Even if they meet Q2 number, i'm afraid of poor guidance for the rest
of the year. CEO doesn't know how to put a positive spin at earning
call. I am long at avg of $5.75. Do believe in this stock longer
term...by end of the year we should see it hitting $8-$9 (change of
administration/hopefully tax credit will also get renewed).
