LFT poised to breakout

LFT is working on a base on base pattern and it will probably break-
out in the next few days at the $33 level. Today LFT moved up in
higher volume as it did already once last week. This is a sign of
institutional buying. I would get in at this level for a good chance
of a 10% return on the equity. If you use options you could possibly

You may be right - about the "hype". But with their strong growth and
excellent profit margins, LFT isn't a "penny stock", or "junk" in my
view. Many scratch their head when they announce strong growth and

This stock has been rising most days 3 to 5% from the low of 13.... in
the past 5 days 20% or so... still low volume.

Earnings are coming but volume is still WAY too low..... I will hang
in there til earnings.

Anyone else with some $$$ here?

Anyone has news on earnings?
Several sites have buy / strong buys on this stock, but the volume is
very low, and unconfirmed earnings are due first week of feb. (I
think)?

I dont expect this to go back to 30 anytime soon, but at least for
earnings to take us closer to $20 would be nice.

Painful couple of days.. although this one held ok for the past two.

I sold all about 2 weeks ago to meet a margin call...I guess it was

I was in at 26.50 a few days after its IPO then I have to sold all of
them at 23.50 on the last day of last year for tax loss. Under the
economic condition, the IPO stock like this will get a hard time to
roll up.

I sold at 22.18 couple of weeks ago to load up on some etrade shares,
but looks like this stock has some support as well as upgrades
recently. So I bought at 23 yesterday.

the sweet spot in terms of the customers they serve: the Chinese
banks. Chinese banks, both the big 4 and the (smaller) city commercial

Couple things:
1) Seasonality: the past quarter (ending Sept. 30) is the strongest.
The company did say summer and fall are typical strong quarters. Note
the seasonality is quite different from typical US software company,
where Q4 (quarter ending Dec 31) is ususally the strongest.

CC sounded good to me (the english part anyway!) so just trying to
look past the #'s and see whats going on. Thinking investors are
nervous about financials and china , but think it will do well in some
time.

Like anyone on here really knows!! China has been way outperforming US
stocks, recently many chineese (especially the newer ones) have
reported blowot all tiome record earnings , above analyst estimates,
sometimes there are no estmates because i's too new, still they tend
to get out right after earnings people have this idea hat the chia

Simplely because we had so many chinese ipo in the past 2 month, and
many investors have been unsatisfy by the recent china stock market
and many oversea ADR. Once the market in China rebounce, those ADR
will move, and if the market continue to decline, so well those stock.
For now do not put any money into those china related stock, just keep

I agree with you. It is cheap. Plus the company is profitable with
solid growth. But as you may know, a lot of investor is out of the
market. Very popular stock like AAPL & GOOG have plunged from 52 week
high because of massive selloff. So I expect little interest in LFT

Isn't this stock cheap by China growth standards?

If you take the stock price at 22.50 and divide that by the earnings
they give for the fiscal year ending March, 2008, of 68 cents, you get
a P/E of 33.

For a high growth stock, that's cheap. Am I missing something?

I will wait for the end of the trading session today before I make
that prediction. It would be foolish to predict what Chinese stocks
are going to do in the next few weeks. They are defying all stock 101
rules. In general I think most of the chinese stocks will go down in
the near future because of the market conditions as a whole regardless

I have seen good earnings on good stocks go down before they are
analized and kicked around a bit....then go up. Maybe that is what is
happening here with LFT.
