When chinese real estate come back little, Xin will take advantage it
by using the percentage of completion method to overstate and to
recognize in advance their revenues. there is no comparison between
Xin and other public companies listed in hong konw which use the
completion accounting method.

Up 28% on no news (at least no public news that I can find). XIN and
APWR are now my two best holdings and having bought low, are both up
over 200% from my purchase prices.

Does anybody know whether XIN has operations in the city of Xian ?
I did not see that town at the press release and it is surprising
since Xian is one of the strongest growing cities in China

I think AKRK.OB (2008 EPS 0,08 $ - 2009 EPS about 0,15 $) might
sell its environmentally friendly products to XIN...just an idea for
those who are long to the "green" building materials industry of
China....China is like USA in 60 -70 's in terms of the real estate
development.

I think that a stock's closing price has to be below $1 on average for
six months before it will be delisted from the NASDAQ. I'm not sure
what the rules are for the NYSE.

I am actually not quite sure what the rules are myself. I do know
trading below $1 and/or meeting a certain minimum requirement of
volume has something to do with it.

TMA recently had a reverse split 10:1 (making it trade over $1) to
avoid getting delisted recently.

I certainly hope not...I still don't understand how this stock has
performed this badly over the last few weeks. Yes, I know China has
fallen off the economic map lately, but the fundamentals of this
company, to me, still seem very good.

With the kind of trading volume and the rate of decline we are seeing
on this stock, it seems only a matter of time before we will be seeing
XIN.OB. I'm sad to see my money evaporated here (2,000 shares) but at
least I didn't compound my mistake by averaging down on this one. Got
my money vaporize elsewhere ... I hope some of you people are faring

It should be trading in the 12 to 14 dollar channel if this were a
normal market. Unfortunately there is an atmosphere of mindless panic
selling right now causing XIN to suffer even though it's return on
investment after one time preferred stock conversion is phenomenal.

It does indeed.

Seems like the SSE (see SHA:000001) is being sold off into the
dumpster and the Chinese ADR's are affected by the trend. Plus, home
developer companies around the world aren't doing too well - lots of
leverage, increasing cost and slowing demand (not sure how relevant it
is to XIN in particular, but it all gets sold off indiscriminately).

right now the whole Chinese sector is dropped.

The MMs try to hammer down whichever sector with high P/E and ready
for the Xmas rally.(commodity,oil, natural gas ... ...)

For ppl whom long the stocks, this fall will be long and cold.

What troubles me is that raw materials and transportation costs are
up, so real estate development companies get margin squeezed.
Remember, since they're growing so rapidly, this is dangerous because
of the amount leveraging involved. This can get ugly in a hurry.

Yet most of foreign investors already know that the Chinese real
estate market is very bad.. XIN focuses on tier ll cities in China,
which is apparently a booming market.
