If you think this company will survive in the short term, anytime is a
good time to buy!

The management has options at 19 cents, suppliers got warrants at
about 23 cents that should tell you something.

The burning question is...do they have enough cash coming in to pay
the heat, light, rent and wages.  If they start powering their own
factory with one of those windmills you know things aren't going so
well.

If they get that contract for 61 units solidified this thing will only
go up.

Well from someone who jumped out a while back at $.25 I have to say I
think it is time to take a small position, their situation it tenuous
at best but with the amount of hot air coming from Ottawa about
stimulus and all that jazz and Oil looking like it will stay over $70
for some time taking on a wind play for a small chunk of your
portfolio is likely a good idea.

Their books are awful of course and the only way they will really
survive is money from Ottawa and Quebec City, so that is really your
bet, will they get more handouts?

Read the financial report, they got a loan guarentee at 70% of 50 mil
from the feds- now they just need somewhere to spend it, other than
wages....c'mon 61 unit contract.

On that note I've changed my mind, harper is a cool guy.  If he wants
super cool guy status, and my vote, he should make that loan into a
grant, and sweep AAE parking lot free of nails, and broken beer
bottles from all those after-building-windmill parties they have to
ensure there are no punctures in the flatbed trailer tires that will
be DELIVERING THOSE 61 UNITS!!!!!

Hey Macron, I was playing AAE a while back and have to admit I didn't
do my research before posting above so I do apologize, the info I was
working off of was what I remembered from playing this months back.

I am SO with you on this one (although I don't know about SUPER cool
guy status for Harper, he would have to come clean up my place to get
my vote :p)

Anyway, I did a bit of a write-up on them, on www.mystockbuddy.com, if
you want to add to it that would be awesome, always good to have new
smart people with a sense of humor.

Even if discovered as a ploy it might be enough news to get AAE
mentioned in passing and get some US interest in the shares, the
company and it's products.

In canada write some redneck mp's with an angry message about how the
"french" are monopolizing the winpower market, and why are our tax
dollars going to funding AAE, blah blah blah, all BS off course but
the average conservative MP is so thick he/she might jump on it.
Especially if you send one to Duceppe about how you heard that the
Cons had secretly funded a wind power project in {insert western
province here}.  He will know that its complete BS but might think the
cons orchestrated it for some reason and probe around that might be
enough kindling to get a row going with AAE mentioned a couple of
times, and our lame ass media will be all over it ..free publicity!
It's time to put ottawa to work.

I feel your pain. I'm averaged at .19 but am in for the ride to the
top (or bottom).

The only reason it's low is because of investor jitters, anything else
and it would already be a nickel or less.

This, alternative energy investment, (i.e. AAE revenues) has to become
an election issue, and I have a plan-part of it is above.

Macron and Kmatt, why don't you average down a bit? What REALLY needs
to happen to AAER is to have them get on BNN, take a look at FEI, they
were going nowhere forever and the CEO was on BNN today and it went up
over 100%

Maybe we can all email BNN and ask them to profile AAER

I don't need to average down $2.5/share -.19 = plenty.  I'm not here
for the few hundred percent profit, I here to ride their coattails to
a few hundred thousand or more...that's doable if these guys a)
survive in the short term b) get work in the long term c) hire the HA
to burn down suzlon's factory.  I'm relying on the Quebec government
and the HA) to protect their homies.  Canada is great because we like
our monopolies...let's make sure it stays that way.

checked out that website you mentioned, nice tip on IPAS....if one of
my short termers goes up before aug 31 and IPAS dips a bit more I'll
be doing a quicky on that one.  Purely a technical buy, they are a
stupid service company....BORING...but I love free money....isn't the
stock market fun?

Absolutely on the email thing, and I'll do it   BNN=Business News
Network I presume, and I'll annoy a few other media places while i'm
at it.  You are dead on.  They need exposure, they are probably too
cash strapped to throw money into TV commercials, and wouldn't give
them bang for the buck anyway.  Grassroots baby, AAER's marketing team
is formed (I'm pointing my closed fist at the sky and imagining I'm
wearing a AAER magic ring as I say that)

I'm sending my emails on Sunday aug 30.  If anyone else is into this
pick another day a couple before or after otherwise they'll figure out
we are just a bunch of wankers looking to jack our stock portfolio.
Best to come accross as an upright, concerned canadian
enviromentalist, who eats omega 3 eggs, vegan squirrel pie, shops at
MEC, who loves kids and old people equally....think ned flanders with
a hockey stick.

Macron, I want to see this at a few bucks not $.30

Check out PURE, one of my new favourites, really cool product with a
lot of potential and it has been approved by the EPA. Sorry I didn't
note them when they dove down to $1.60 for a dip but a  heck of a
company.

I can only guess why they popped today: Someone knows something we
don't - which is okay by me as long as its good news.  Or someone with
lots of cash was waiting in the wings knowing everything we do, and
figured the bargain couldn't get any better at .14.  If it is short
term, it'll be dropping as quick as it went up.  I won't be
comfortable until big ticket sales are a routine, and the PPS
stabilizes around .5....then the gravy train should start chugging
forward.

I did BNN, and a couple of others, trying to come accross as a guy
with no life concerned only with our fragile environment and wind
power, as opposed to a guy with no life concerned only about his
personal wealth.  If I was part of the french connection, I could
probably get the inside scoop from Northland Power.  These are the
dudes holding the purse string for 61 units.  Unfortunately web site
tranlators won't work well enough to convince these guys I'm one of
their homies and I'll get the "F%ck off Henglishman" as a response.

I'll look at PURE, and while I'm here check out  check out TSTR on
NASDAQ, still a buy in my view anywhere below $1.50-it's the next
sliced bread in the world of mobile phone communications, or so the
TSTR google message board thinks.  It has sporadic short term bumps on
news releases, if the quick gain is your thing, but in my view it's
really a keeper to be nurtured and coddled because one day I suspect
the bump will, like AAER, not dip again for a long long time.

Love the 'guy with no life' thing :p We are seeing a bit of a pullback
but I have a GTC order in for $.095 so whichever way stuff goes I
don't really mind right now. I don't really see AAE as a trade.

As for TSTR, they only have tangible equity of about $80m, the product
sounds good but haven't people been promising 'all satellite' wireless
for a long time now?

I don't know too much about it but my understanding is that the
problem is that it is just so much cheaper to put up and maintain
towers that the whole satellite thing doesn't really make a ton of
sense.

Macron, get yourself on mystockbuddy, the site isn't anywhere near
done but we need more canucks.

Few others I like:

TR.UN (Well priced right now at under $2.30)
OPC, IDK where price is going short term but I have a whack of it and
you will call me crazy but I believe that inside of 3-4 years it will
be $25+.
OME if you can get it a bit cheaper (under $4)
PCS around $8
RUS (nice dividend, very boring type of business which is good)

Good luck and get on the site, just be prepared to back up what you
say (which it seems you can/do)

I am assuming that since you people are in aae that you enjoy penny
stocks. You might want to take a look at Rockwell Diamonds (RDI).
Everyone has to do their own due diligence here, but it looks like a
great opportunity, and looks like some positive new coming up as well.
It has alot of room to grow.

50k is still a strong position (since I am assuming you are in less
than 0.06). I'm not sure what you average share price is, but I got in
a little late (after the recent good news) and am in at an average of
0.06. I feel like it's still a good buy at these levels anyway. I'm
sure you read the story about the 3 x 100+ carat diamonds that they

Good luck to you! (and me also I suppose, haha)

AAER is opening a sales office...I hope they have the cash to pay the
rent.  If it had been me I would have hand drawn a discount coupon
reading "scratch and win UP TO 20% off your discount of your next
purchase of wind turbines"  then simply mark them up 25%.

Thanks for the tips guys, RDI has a good balance sheet and has that
weird "revenue" thingy on it's income statement, that alone is a
rarity for anything below a dime.  Don't have anything with the word
"diamond" in it so might have to bite.

While we are on the topic of stock hotties, check out SYMX, 90 mil of
flash cash, less debt than I have, factory in china and massive
product potential.  I drool every time I look at their balance sheet.
They are thinly traded and unknown, it's not the ground floor but near
enough to the bottom.

Yes kmatt I have a piece of OPTI, it's really an all or nothing
situation there as well, got in at 1.8.  Hopefully they get their act
together and oil pops, one or both will put it back in the 10's 20's.
Also have a slice of PDP- a garden variety oil company-purely a
technical buy, if oil goes up-it will.....I hope???

$0.90 mark I will buy in, although I do feel like it is still a good
buy at the current levels. In fact, even if it doesn't go down I may
buy... It shouldn't take much to get back up over $2...

AAER Announces Wind Turbine Sale to U.S. Customer

MONTREAL, Oct. 15 /CNW/ - AAER Inc. (TSX-V: AAE), Canada's only
original equipment manufacturer of wind turbines of 1 megawatt ("MW")
and more, announced today that it has signed a sales agreement with
the Town of Ipswich, Massachusetts for the delivery of a 1.65 MW wind
turbine during the first quarter of 2010. The transaction, valued at
approximately US$2.6 million, includes a warranty and five-year
operation and maintenance service agreement.

"We are pleased to have been selected by the Town of Ipswich as their
wind turbine supplier," said Dave Gagnon, AAER's President and CEO.
"This sale agreement confirms the competitiveness of our wind turbines
in terms of technology, cost and performance."

"We look forward to working with AAER in making our wind power project
a reality," added Tim Henry, Ipswich Electric Light Department General
Manager. "The residents of Ipswich have shown great support for
renewable energy and this project will be a source of pride for our
community."
