Subject: Any mathematicians here? What is the meaning of matrix addition?
Since an m x n matrix is a transformation from R^n to R^m space,
Now, what does the sum of two matrices (transformations) mean? Oh and

Know how to add?
4 + 5 = 9
Two by two matrix:
4 4 5 5 9 9
You knew that.

Two by two matrix:
Matrix A 1 2 3 4 Another two by two:
A+B =
1+5 2+6
=
6 8
Other than that you have lost me.

There are transformation functions and transformations act like a
matrix. so M x N = Rows x Columns multiplication looks like this
for addition the size of the matrices have to be equal thus 3 x 3 + 3
What chapter are you on?
I suggest you watch Khan Academy videos. They very good.

I believe that while mulitplication is a tranformation, addition
represents a translation within the same space. On Nov 7, 11:02 am, Leo <paru...@gmail.com> wrote:

Addition is theboperation of translating one transformation to
another. On Nov 7, 11:02 am, Leo <paru...@gmail.com> wrote:
